About the event
This Class is ages 13 and up
This workshop gives youth the core editing skills that make videos clear, polished, and engaging no matter where they’re posted. Using accessible mobile tools, including Adobe Premiere Rush, students learn how to organize clips, refine pacing, add text and sound, shape a story, and make simple adjustments that elevate raw footage into clean, intentional content. The focus is on timeless fundamentals that apply across all social platforms, from short vertical videos to longer creative pieces. Through guided, hands-on practice, each participant edits a complete project from start to finish. All equipment is provided, and no prior experience is needed. Students leave with practical editing confidence and a finished video ready to share Meet the Instructor: Tonya Sheffield is a filmmaker, educator, and community advocate dedicated to empowering youth and adults through digital media.
