Volunteering
As a non-profit, Mixxer Community Makerspace relies heavily on the involvement of its community, members, and volunteers to keep membership and programming accessible.
With Community Care as our 2025 Resolution, Caring for each other, ourselves and our space is made more attainable when everyone joins in.
This is your invitation to be an active part of the community! See below for opportunities.
Administrative
Training provided on the 1st Friday of each month. Service of approximately 2 hours per shift thereafter. Choose one shift per week/month/quarter - no min/max.
Many Hands
Daily recurring tasks that keep us in tip-top shape. Tasks ranging from 15 minutes to 2 hours. No training or scheduling needed, just sign in and pick a task. Hiring a cleaning service would mean raising our rates, your help keeps membership dues low!
Maintenance
Training provided on the 3rd Friday of each month. Service of approximately 2 hours per shift thereafter. Choose one shift per week/month/quarter - no min/max.
Additional Opportunities
The following groups help us make key organization-wide decisions and often include hands on projects. Some have monthly meetings, others are seasonal or per project. Notices are made public when opportunities arise, please speak with staff about any special interests, as some requirements may need to be met to qualify for positions.
