The Artists & Craftspersons Development Series (ACDS) is a program initiated by members of the community and furthers the mission of Mixxer to grow a creative community that provides equitable access to tech, tools, and knowledge regardless of experience or background. ACDS is intended to educate, elevate and support the growth and collaboration of individual artists and craftspersons in Forsyth County and surrounding communities to develop their craft and the skills necessary to build a professional career as well as become a public directory of creatives who can be more easily accessed for hire and new partnerships. By serving artists and craftspersons in the greater Piedmont Triad community through casual meet-ups, educational workshops and pooled service offerings, Mixxer can help to identify critical needs, pool community resources and help elevate a wider population of creatives as we grow together through tactical alliances which aim to increase diversity, equity and inclusion across current offerings in the area.
