Intro to Leatherworking: Belt Pouches

Want to try leather working but afraid of the cost? Get an introduction to the basics of leatherworking, designed to give you a feel for the craft and an idea of what tools and skills you'll need to continue your experience.

In this maker experience, you will take leather pieces and use hand tools to make small leather pouches that will loop onto your belt. Pouch size vary from 5" to 7". These make great gifts for loved ones or for yourself.

You have the option to bring your own decorative button (approximately 1") but we'll supply the rest. Email workshops@wsmixxer.org to inquire about designs/style or patterns. You can also ask about making other items, please inquire 2-3 days before this event. This will allow time to ensure we have everything you might need.

This is a great making experience if you're starting out in leatherworking or simply curious about leatherworking.

We will supply you with hand tools, accessories, and leather! Just bring yourself, curiosity and creativity!
