About the event
Learn how to safely use MIG welding equipment and get hands-on experience welding! If you've ever been intimidated by learning metal working as someone of a marginalized gender, we welcome you to join us for this supportive introductory class which aims to break down barriers associated with metalworking. Whether you just want to get a feel for the art of welding or want to bring in a small project to get started with, join us to learn the basics of welding!
This class is open to women identified, trans, and nonbinary individuals only. Please see our class listings for our standard Intro to Welding class that is open to all genders.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Be sure to wear natural materials (no spandex, nylon, etc.) and long pants that cover your boots or close toed shoes. We'll provide the rest of the safety gear you'll need.
