About the event
Age Range: This course is for Makers ages 14 to 18. Note: Please wear a shirt that is of natural fibers, jeans, and shoes that completely cover feet. Safety gear will be supplied.
Shape steel into a sleek and functional tool while mastering the basics of blacksmithing.
In this skill-building session, teens will forge their own letter opener from steel, learning techniques like drawing out, beveling, and refining edges. It’s a great way to explore metalwork while creating something practical and personalized. Beginners are welcome, and students with some experience will have the chance to take their forging precision to the next level.
