About the event
In this series, you will learn the basics of screen printing from art design to printing your very own garment!
In part one, you will learn how to create artwork suitable for printing and the process for getting your artwork onto a screen. Discover how to use free resources to create your design, regardless of artistic ability you will be able to make a design you’ll love! Learn how to take your artwork from computer to a physical screen through printing on transparent paper before burning the design into the screen. Lastly, learn what goes into preparing screens to hold artwork for printing.
Lead by: Neil Underwood (he/him)
Neil Underwood is a long time member of the local maker community having started the first Hackerspace in Winston Salem back in 2011. He is also one of the North American administrators for the RepRap 3d printing research organization, and has a certificate in electrical engineering. These days Neil is a Graduate of Northern Lights Santa Academy and member of the Fraternal order of Real Beard Santas.
