Recycling Old Books into Journals

Transform an old book into the perfect notebook/sketchbook! During the class students will take an old hardcover book and create a personalized journal for future use. Students will create groupings of blank pages and bind those to the hardcover using a long stitch book binding technique.

Jeremy Schiffer

Jeremy moved to the Triad area two years ago and dived into various artistic endeavors, nurturing their talents and expanding their creative horizons. He has explored multiple creative forms including wood turning, clay forming and metal work. One year ago, he discovered the world of bookbinding, and it has become a true passion ever since. Jeremy is focused specifically on sewn bindings and continues to hone his skills and artistic expression in this craft.

This class is for makers 13 +. Makers under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please email workshops@wsmixxer.org for any questions.

Workshops must meet a minimum number of registrations.  Mixxer may cancel workshop 48 hours prior to start time, if minimum is not met. Should you need to cancel your registration, 48 hours notice is required to request a cancellation, refund or credit to future workshop date.
