About the event
Come learn how to bend and shape wire to create the perfect catch all sculpture version of Pouf the Dragon, the Arts on Fire Mascot! In this class you'll create one of two wire sculpture designs of Pouf the Dragon, Mixxer's very own fire breathing dragon from the artist of Pouf himself! After mounting the sculpture to a wooden block it will make the perfect to hold jewelry, mail, or display it to enjoy your work of art!
Important Note: Some manual dexterity and hand strength is needed to bend and form the wire.
About Pouf the Dragon
Meet Pouf the Dragon, Mixxer's Arts on Fire Iron Pour Mascot! Created by one of Mixxer's Artists in Residence, Thaddeus Prevette. After having a dragon sculpture on display at Mixxer, the idea came about for Thaddeus to turn our poufer (an upright flame thrower) into a fire breathing dragon! Using his signature woven metal style of sculpture making, he created Pouf the Dragon who will breathe his flames all day on during the Arts on Fire Iron Pour on September 15. Look out for Pouf on Mixxer's social media, Arts on Fire t-shirts, and more!
