About the event
This is an introductory experience into making (forging or smithing) metal jewelry. No experience needed!
You'll go home with custom pair of hand-hammered copper bracelets that you created and an introduction to working with copper using tools and fire. We will discuss working with copper, learn and practice using Butane torches to anneal your copper, hammers and forming tools to texturize them and smooth the edges to finish them for ultimate comfort so that they are ready to wear or gift!
Attendees will take home their bracelets along with some info on caring for their handmade wearable metal works of art.
IMPORTANT:Â Be sure to wear natural materials (no spandex, nylon, etc.) and long pants that cover your boots or close toed shoes. We'll provide the rest of the safety gear you'll need.
