About the event
Make a set of practice eyes to take home and learn about the basics of puppet performance! By the end of this class you'll leave with your first set of puppet eyes and have learned about how to use them!
Lead by: Murphy Boski (she/her)
Murphy (Sharon Murphy Boski) came to the area to study electronic puppetry and has stayed around to explore her art form of Puppetry here at Mixxer. A professional puppeteer with a 30+ year career in Puppetry Arts, Murphy has found puppetry to be the reason to learn all sorts of (normally) unrelated things. She loves exploring new ways to use old materials and techniques as well as trying new techniques and materials with old ways of working. Her specialty is using 2-D and 3-D art in 4-D art forms.
This class is for makers 9 years old and older. All makers ages 16 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult. Please email workshops@wsmixxer.org for any questions.
