Minimum Age: 13 years old
Learn the basics of how to set up your electric guitar! This class will teach how to set up a guitar for saddle height, nut depth, pickup setups, cleaning, and stringing on an electric guitar. Throughout the class, you will also learn some of the basic repairs you may need to do while setting up any guitar.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please bring your own electric guitar to set up.
Led by: Willy Minnix

Willy Minnix is the owner of Minnix Music in Winston Salem. He has been teaching music for 30 years, and has worked as a professional sound technician in NY, where he worked with several famous musicians and actors like the Marshall Tucker Band, the Indigo Girls, Keanu Reeves and Kevin Bacon to name a few. At Minnix Music in addition to teaching music, Willy repairs instruments as well. Willy has written several books including the Dead Man's Tuning Mandolin books, and the book Lyrics and Music: Music Theory for Aspiring Songwriters.
This class is for makers 13 years old and older. All makers ages 16 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult. Please email workshops@wsmixxer.org for any questions.
