Intro to Fluid Art: Colorful Coasters

Minimum Age: 9 years old

In this class you will learn the basics of fluid art - paints, pouring media and techniques and make a set of coasters!  You will learn several techniques that use paints mixed to a medium consistency with a variety of colors to work with.  By the end of the class, you will have a set of 4 coasters. 

It will take approximately 3 - 5 days for the coasters to dry. They will be finished with a spray varnish or you can take a second class and learn to finish them with a heat-resistant epoxy resin. 

Important note: Please wear clothing you do not mind getting dirty as this process can be messy

I'm a senior having fun with color and motion through fluid and resin fluid art. I've worked in this area for over 7 years and attended many conferences to learn more about these mediums. I've taught many people how to enjoy this artform and sold my art through shows and commissions.

This class is for makers ages 9 years old and older. All makers ages 16 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.  Please email workshops@wsmixxer.org for any questions.

Workshops must meet a minimum number of registrations.  Mixxer may cancel workshop 48 hours prior to start time, if minimum is not met. Should you need to cancel your registration, 48 hours notice is required to request a cancellation, refund or credit to future workshop date.
