Intro to Body Painting

Minimum Age: 21 years old

Come learn the basics of body painting for costuming, decorating, or just for fun! During this class, you will be introduced to basic FDA approved industry standard theatrical makeup products, recognize their uses, differences, and effects. You will be take through the process of applying basic solid color, ombre effects, layer details, and stencil work with both cake makeup and air brush. By the end, you will have painted the chest, arms, and back areas of the model you bring to the class.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Students will practice on a live volunteer model THEY BRING TO CLASS with them. All models should wear pants, bra/tops or pasties for the female models.

Lead by: Cheryl Ann Lipstreu

Raised amongst the rolling hills of the piedmont plains with a large family of five brothers on an Arabian horse farm in Belews Creek NC, I fell in love with art and nature at an early age. This love gave way to years of dedicated study and a resolute commitment to making art for a living. Now my career has spanned over twenty years of experience working as a freelance creative entrepreneur, a classical painter, a muralist, a celebrity champion bodypainting artist, a television starring artist, mentor, and now as a sculptor, all while continuously evolving into the fields of marketing and design.

This class is for makers ages 21 years old and older. All makers ages 16 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.  Please email workshops@wsmixxer.org for any questions.

Workshops must meet a minimum number of registrations.  Mixxer may cancel workshop 48 hours prior to start time, if minimum is not met. Should you need to cancel your registration, 48 hours notice is required to request a cancellation, refund or credit to future workshop date.
