Intro to Airbrush Painting

Minimum Age: 13 years old

Join us for this introductory dive into the world of using an Airbrush! During this class you will learn basics of how an airbrush works and create your very first canvas. You will be taken through how to achieve proper flow of paint, techniques on how to paint small dots, lines and basic ombre color effects and how to keep proper air flow and pressure. You will also learn how to clean, take apart and put back together an airbrush gun so you have all the skills you need to continue your practice at home!

By the end of you class you'll have painted a 11" x 14" canvas to take home along with all your new knowledge! We will have Dual Action air brushes for you to use or you can bring their own!

Important note: Please wear clothing you do not mind getting dirty as this process can be messy

Raised amongst the rolling hills of the piedmont plains with a large family of five brothers on an Arabian horse farm in Belews Creek NC, I fell in love with art and nature at an early age. This love gave way to years of dedicated study and a resolute commitment to making art for a living. Now my career has spanned over twenty years of experience working as a freelance creative entrepreneur, a classical painter, a muralist, a celebrity champion bodypainting artist, a television starring artist, mentor, and now as a sculptor, all while continuously evolving into the fields of marketing and design.

This class is for makers ages 13 years old and older. All makers ages 16 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.  Please email workshops@wsmixxer.org for any questions.

Workshops must meet a minimum number of registrations.  Mixxer may cancel workshop 48 hours prior to start time, if minimum is not met. Should you need to cancel your registration, 48 hours notice is required to request a cancellation, refund or credit to future workshop date.
