About the event
In this series, you will learn the basics of sewing a garment. You are welcome to come to some, or all of the classes. Each class will build somewhat on previous classes.
In part one, you will learn how to read paper patterns so you can choose one that will you will make in to a garment suited perfectly for you! Discover how to choose the best fabric for what you are making. Learn different fabric terms, so you can find the fabric you need in a shop or online. Lastly, learn what needs to be done, before you cut anything!
You'll go home with homework of buying a pattern, fabric, and notions for your garment for the next session. If time allows, spend some time practicing on the Mixxer sewing machines, or on your own machine.
Feel free to bring your own machine if you have one!
Lead by: June Jones
