About the event
Come learn a little bit about blacksmithing while creating a one-of-a-kind gift or piece of decor for your house. In this class, you'll take a steel rod and forge it into a decorative heart for your Valentine to show off your new skills - this is one smithing experience you won't want to miss! You will learn safety, hammer technique, and basic forging to get started on your blacksmithing journey.
Note: Please wear a shirt that is of natural fibers, jeans, and shoes that completely cover feet. Safety gear will be supplied. Also, don't forget that you're playing with fire, so depending on the time of day and season, a hat, sunscreen and bottle of water could be useful. Don't forget to rest up before the class and bring all your muscle!
