About the event
Learn how to make a reusable fabric coffee cup sleeve that fits most disposable coffee cups! This beginner project will guide you through the basics of using a sewing machine using one of Mixxer's or you can bring your own. This project will also get you familiar with how to work with velcro and fusible interfacing in sewing!
Lead by: Lyssa Troemel (she/her)
Lyssa Troemel is in her third year of studies in Animatronics at UNCSA. Prior to enrolling at UNCSA, she was a props master and puppet builder in the Fort Wayne, IN area. Her work gained the attention of the local band Silbo Gomero and she collaborated with them to produce the award-winning shadow puppet music video “Whale Fall”. She also served on the Board of Directors of Puppeteers of America for two years. She loves to find ways to fuse the arts with technology and continues to do so in her studies.
