About the event
What happens when young engineers take over a baseball stadium?
Middle and high school students are invited to design, build, test, and launch their own glider alongside engineers from Collins Aerospace at Mixxer’s DASH Bash!
Participants will explore real-world aerospace engineering as they create their glider, test and refine their design using a small-scale wind tunnel, and make adjustments before the ultimate challenge: launching their aircraft across Truist Stadium!
Then it’s time to see whose design really flies. Gliders will compete for prizes based on longest distance and greatest hang time.
Saturday, October 10
9:30 AM: Participant Check-In
10:00 AM–12:00 PM: Design, Build & Wind-Tunnel Testing
12:00–1:00 PM: The Great Glide at Truist Stadium
Designed for middle and high school youth.
