Minimum Age: 16 years old
Learn how to create your very own lamp in simple but beautiful copper pipe! This class will take you through the process of assembling your unique copper design and how to assemble the electronics for your fully functioning lamp. During the class, you'll cut the copper pipe, solder/glue copper joints to create your design, and bring it all to light by assembling your Edison-bulb lamp kit. Jump in to learn the basics of metal fabrication, electronics, or just to leave with a unique lamp!
Lead by: Neil Underwood (he/him)

Neil Underwood is a long time member of the local maker community having started the first Hackerspace in Winston Salem back in 2011. He is also one of the North American administrators for the RepRap 3d printing research organization, and has a certificate in electrical engineering. These days Neil is a Graduate of Northern Lights Santa Academy and member of the Fraternal order of Real Beard Santas.
This meet up is for makers 16 years old and older. All makers ages 16 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult. Please email workshops@wsmixxer.org for any questions.
