Arts on Fire

Join us for a celebration of creativity and craftsmanship at Arts on Fire, a unique event where the world of fire arts takes center stage! This one-of-a-kind event brings together a dynamic blend of artistic flair and fiery spectacle, showcasing the remarkable work of some of the area's best artists including YOU. Come experience a day filled with wonder, creativity, and community spirit as we celebrate the elemental beauty of fire.

• Mixxer's Annual Iron Pour: Witness the spectacular process of 2 tons of molten iron being poured into molds made by community members just like you. You'll be able to watch as recycled pieces are transformed back into raw materials and then into over 200 pieces of artwork. 
• Iron Art Mold Making: Get hands-on at our interactive mold-making tent! Be guided by one of our volunteers on how to create your own piece of iron art with a scratchblock mold. These molds are premade squares of sand and resin that allow you to carve in your design with simple tools! Scratchblocks will be available for $36 at the tent or $24 at any of our mold-making classes prior to September 15th.
• Live Art Demonstrations: Watch talented artists as they showcase their skills in real time. From glassworking to flame painting, these live demonstrations offer a glimpse into the techniques and creativity behind fire arts and more.
• Vendor Row: Explore a diverse array of booths featuring art, crafts, and unique handmade goods. Support local artists and find one-of-a-kind treasures to take home.
• Fire Artist Alley: Stop by this featured section of the festival spotlighting a curated selection of talented vendors specializing in fire arts. Each artist will provide insights into their craft, share techniques, and offer hands-on demonstrations and classes for attendees to explore the art of working with fire. You'll even have the chance to witness our real-life fire-breathing dragon Pouf in action! 
• Hands-on Classes: Get hands-on with fire arts and be guided by some of our artists to make your own piece of art to take home! Check out the schedule tab for links to sign up for a class.
• Family Fun Area: Stop by the family fun area for engaging activities for all ages and learn more about what we have to offer all year around.
• Picnic Area for the Winston Salem Food Truck Festival: In conjunction with the Winston Salem Food Truck Festival, come sit in our picnic area and enjoy delicious food from the variety of food trucks available.
